At the annual general meeting in St Leonard's Hall, Burton Leonard, officers were re-elected for the coming year and donations made to Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, St. Michael's Hospice and Martin House, the chosen charities of 2024.
The chosen charity for 2025 is The Salvation Army.
Following the close of business, a social afternoon was enjoyed with delicious food and a welcome cuppa.

A fun afternoon was enjoyed by members and guests when speaker Jackie Irving with her craft demonstration "Something Christmassy" showed how to craft Christmas Stars followed by everyone having the opportunity to create their own festive star.

Members enjoyed a nostalgic afternoon when speaker, Malcolm Johnson, transported members back in time with a music and slide show entitled "Childrens' Favourites 1950's" , offering many opportunities for everyone to to join in with historical and musical memories.

Yorkshire Humour and Monologues was the title of the entertaining talk enjoyed by members at their September meeting when speaker, David Calverley, offered a varied and delightful repartee that included clever one-liners though to tales with humorous endings.

In celebration of Yorkshire Day, a Strawberries and Cream Tea Open Afternoon was held when members and guests enjoyed a warm and chatty 'get together'. A big 'thank you' to all who attended.
