There's been a marked increase in the numbers visiting 'Bishop Monkton Today' since the turn of the year. On average in the first ten days of 2025, 269 different people visited the site each day. This compares with an average of 121 per day overall since the site relaunched exactly three months ago on October 10th. Also, in January so far, the total number of page views per day has averaged 703 compared with 481 over the whole period since October.

January has also seen some of the highest daily records. On January 1st, 399 people visited the site - the highest daily total since the relaunch. On January 10th, there were a total of 1198 page views, surpassed only by the 1231 total on the relaunch date, October 10th.

The most read items on the site this month include the family tribute to Fiona Bailey and stories about the cold weather and the Lamb and Flag as well as our special feature about the BM men involved in the Ripon Men's Shed.

The team running the website was already very pleased with the numbers using the site even before the recent increase.
