Lisa Scales has provided a helpful update on post deliveries.

"Morning all - I work for Royal Mail and have just spoken to the Regional Director for Yorkshire and he said "we are pushing today and tomorrow, plans for Sunday rounds and then we should be in better place Monday / Tuesday but we have people on the streets in HG postcodes today. However, the pace they can go at means some people will still not get their deliveries until after the weekend. We are really sorry but we have had 3 broken bones this week so far with so many slips and falls" I really appreciate it's frustrating for all of us (including me!) but the safety of our people is paramount - bear with us as we deal with the ice and now the backlog."
