IT'S A SELL-OUT.

All tickets have now been sold for Singing for Fun's Christmas concert today (Thursday). A perennially popular village event, it will take place in the Methodist Chapel at 7 p.m.

The change of usual venue from the Methodist Schoolroom to the Chapel has meant that this year there have been more tickets available, but there are now no more left.

Group Organiser, Angie Archbold, says “The evening will have a fun vibe, like all our sessions”.

As well as featuring some of the songs practised during recent weeks, there will also be a mix of Christmas carols, poetry and jokes. Judging from comments overheard after the concert last year, this promises to be a lovely, relaxed evening, guaranteed to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Bishop Monkton's Singing for Fun Group meets between two and four times a month and was set up in 2019. It provides a fun-filled opportunity for people of all singing abilities to get together to enjoy themselves and has grown in popularity since it was formed. Two concerts are staged during the year, usually in July and December, and are open to everyone.
