You may well have seen road closure signs again in the village. There are indeed two potential sets of works affecting Bishop Monkton next week, although there's the usual caveat that these things often don't happen on the dates stated!.

Firstly, the back road to Ripon is scheduled to be closed on Tuesday 17th from 0930 to 1730 for repair works by OpenReach. The closure appears to be well beyond the old railway bridge and nearer to the junction with the by-pass.

Secondly, NYC are scheduled to do surveying work of a culvert on Hungate from Monday (16th) to Wednesday (18th) with temporary lights in place to control traffic.
