There's a packed agenda for this month's Parish Council meeting which takes place on Tuesday night.

Among new matters to be discussed are the suggestion reported recently on 'Bishop Monkton Today' that extra street lighting should be considered for the section of Boroughbridge Road between Renton Close and the ford; whether the PC should help organise any events in May this year to mark the eightieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War; and an idea for a new footpath round the playing fields.

The meeting will also receive updates on a range of other matters including the fate of the village's only remaining phone box; the Avant Homes planning application and the plans for a revamp of the children's playground at the Playing Fields.

The full agenda is on the PC website.

The meeting starts at 7pm on Tuesday at the Methodist Schoolroom and is open to the public.
