On The Hunt For A Logo for the Website
BISHOP MONKTON TODAY
Calling all villagers with an artistic flair, or those with an eye for design, to help enhance the appearance of the village website, Bishop Monkton Today.
When the new team “took over” the website at the beginning of the month (a very friendly coup of course) they decided to mark the occasion with a competition to find a new logo for the website. It is envisaged that this will appear somewhere underneath the picture at the top of the home page. Villagers are invited to don their thinking caps and then send in their entries-any ideas would be most appreciated. Closing date is the end of June. Click to send contributions or logo ideas.
A small number of entries have already been received, thank you to those who sent them in, they were all excellent, but there is still time for more.
Small changes have already been made to the website-the background colours have changed slightly and for those who view the site on an iPad or iPhone, the long list of pages and their subsections down the left hand side of the screen is gradually diminishing. It had been hoped that the website host would be able to address this somewhat unwieldy issue and there have been many discussions taking place ever since the website was launched. This, however, has not been possible and it is simply now down to the team to make the necessary adjustments.
The website team would welcome more Letters to the Editor, more photos of general views of the village, as well as pictures of events. Don't hesitate to send in your contributions. There is a gallery section on the website which has space for many photos. Villagers' contributions can only help make it a better website, a website in which the team take great pride and which is, so we are told, a much valued community asset.
Click to contact the team. The team look forward to hearing from you.
