MEET THE CHILDREN STARRING IN THIS WEEK’S FILM PREMIERE
BISHOP MONKTON TODAY
It's a big week for Bishop Monkton School with the culmination of a year-long project about the history of education in the village. This week sees the release of a film, the staging of an exhibition and the publication of a book - all of which have resulted from the project.
Presenters Teddy and Evie and reporters Charlotte, Rebecca, Rafe and Lewis were chosen to appear in the film after auditions in the School.
The film will be shown for the first time this Wednesday (21st May) at 7pm in the Village Hall- just turn up, free entry and there'll be a cash/contactless bar run by the Friends of Bishop Monkton School.
Copies of the 'Best Years of Our Lives' book about the history of the School and the Mechanics' Institution will be available to buy at the screening- cost £10 cash or contactless with profits going to the Friends of Bishop Monkton School.
There'll be a further screening of the film in the School at 3.45pm on Friday. And the exhibition of children's artwork and class photos through the ages will be available to see during the village Fun Day next Monday (26th May) from 12 noon to 4pm. The book will also be available to buy at both these events.
