Talk by Chris Dicken

Having tracked and recorded all the brown plaques in Harrogate and producing the Harrogate Brown Plaques website, Chris devised the now popular walking trails and maps in Harrogate.

His talk will give an insight into the history of the plaques, how they are created and their themes, highlighting connections with Harrogate’s history. Some mark out significant buildings and others commemorate men and women instrumental in the development of the town, including famous people connected with Harrogate. Many feature the town’s Spa Heritage, revealing stories about interesting people and places in the town.
