The temporary redecoration of the Village Hall for the BBC production currently being filmed there could become permanent as a result of the survey conducted over the past fortnight.

An initial analysis of the survey results suggests strong support for keeping the decoration both inside and outside which has been put in place by the production company making the children's drama.

A total of 174 people filled in the survey - 94% of whom live in the village. Half of the respondents were over sixty, 80% were over forty. The VH Committee will be able to analyse the results by age group so the views of younger as well as older residents will be able to be taken into account.

The results of the survey will be discussed at the VH Committee meeting tonight (Wednesday) and a full analysis will be published here on 'Bishop Monkton Today' soon.

The Chair of the VH Committee, Phil Goodier, said:-"I would like to thank everyone who has responded – it’s a fantastic response level given our population and will be invaluable for the Village Hall & Playing Fields Committee to prioritise improvements in the years ahead."
