The village's annual parish meeting will be held on Wednesday May 14th at 7.30 p.m. in the Village Hall, a meeting which residents are urged to attend.

It is important to note that this is NOT a meeting of the Parish Council, but an informal opportunity to discuss parish affairs, raise issues of concern within the community and learn more about what goes on in the village. It is distinct and completely separate from the Council's yearly meeting and those on its regular monthly cycle, where decisions are made by the elected councillors who take actions on behalf of the parish.

It is a legal requirement to hold this meeting, which must take place between March 1st and June 1st.

This meeting is an ideal opportunity for village groups to present a short report on their club or society, updating residents on its activities for the previous and forthcoming year. It is usual for the Parish Council to also present a report. Anyone wishing to formally speak at the meeting, either on behalf of a group or as an individual, must apply to the Clerk before the meeting so that their request can be added to the agenda. Click here to do this. There will also be an opportunity for anyone to raise a question, or make a statement, when the booked slots have concluded.

The meeting is expected to be chaired by the chairman of the Parish Council, Dean Culshaw.

For further details about this meeting please click to be directed to the Parish Council's own website.
