Local History Group Website

Bishop Monkton Yesterday (BMY)

This website (click here) was setup in May 2019 and is run by the Village Local History Group (BMLHG)

Besides researching and recording many aspects of the history of the Village and Parish, recording in text, pictures and videos, the group organises a half dozen of so 'activities' each year.  These can range from guided tours of historical buildings and locations to interesting and amusing talks and shows of local interest.  A detailed record of the Covid Lockdown time was made, including videos, and was regionally recognised.

Membership is just £12.50pa (April) and enables free and priority entry to most 'activities'.

More information about the History Group can be found either on their website - click here (as above) or by visiting the History Group page on this website (under Clubs) - by clicking here.
