The Bishop Monkton Book Group was formed 24 years ago.

Today it has 15 members who normally meet on the third Monday of each month. 

Each member takes a turn in choosing a book for everyone to read and the meeting is then held at their house. The books have to be available in paperback form and preferably not too long.  

At the meetings each member of the group shares their opinion, likes and dislikes of the chosen book. The book can be any type of book but we usually hope that most people enjoy our choices.

in addition the Club holds an annual dinner and a summer picnic.

Numbers have to be limited because meetings are held in members’ homes. At present the membership is full but if you would like to be added to the waiting list please contact Alison Holley by email
