Village Hall

Bishop Monkton Village Hall was opened in 2007. It was paid for by a village fundraising campaign plus the proceeds from the sale of two previous public buildings in the village - the Mechanics Institution on Boroughbridge Road and the W.I Hall on Main Street.

The Hall was featured on BBC Radio York in 2019 during a programme about the importance of village halls for North Yorkshire's rural communities - audio recording available below.
