The village's annual charity auction, held at the Masons on Saturday night, is expected to have raised £1500.

Organiser Stancey Coughlan said :- "A massive thank you to everyone who donated, bid and came out to support . Special thanks to Richard, Billy, Leigh, Alex, Caroline, Ollie, Fin & Max for helping."

The next big fundraiser will be the 'Big Fat Bishop Monkton Quiz' on 8th Feb 2025, which will also be raising money for the organisations which will have benefitted from this weekend's auction - the Friends of Bishop Monkton School, the Village Hall, the churches and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
