We are sad to report the death of villager Chris Farrington. Chris passed away at his home in the village on Wednesday night. He was a regular at the Masons and had lived in Bishop Monkton for almost a decade. Chris lived alone. His family have been informed.

Among several tributes made to Chris, one said :- "He was a lovely guy who never had a bad word to say about anyone."

'Bishop Monkton Today' will have a full tribute to Chris in due course.
