Bin collection dates are changing from the week beginning April 21st. Fridays will replace Tuesdays as the regular day for collections in Bishop Monkton from that week.

So on Friday 25th April there will be a general rubbish (black bin) collection and on Friday 2nd May a recycling (blue bin and bags) collection. They will continue in this pattern thereafter with general rubbish and recycling in alternate weeks.

Three other points to note - if you've paid for garden waste collections, they will continue as before - every fortnight on a Thursday (the next one being this Thursday 10th),

The changeover means there will be no recycling collection after today (Tuesday 8th April ) until Friday 2nd May. NYC say they expect people to have more recycling than normal by the 2nd May so they will take extra recycling on that day - they are asking people to use untied plastic bags or cardboard boxes for any recycling that won't go in their blue bin and bags.

And just to confirm these changes only start in the week beginning April 21st so next week's black bin collection will be on Tuesday 15th April .
