AVANT AND PC GIVE THEIR VIEWS AHEAD OF PUBLIC MEETING
BISHOP MONKTON TODAY
Avant Homes say they will answer any questions residents may have about their plan for sixty homes in the village at this week's public meeting. The meeting, on Wednesday night (30th October) at 7pm at the Village Hall, is being faciliated by the Parish Council. Avant are expected to be represented at the meeting by Chris Megson, their Regional Planning Manager and Jon Birkin, their Technical Director.
In a statement to 'Bishop Monkton Today' Avant said:- "Representatives from Avant Homes and Alfa Homes are looking forward to meeting Bishop Monkton residents on October 30th. The session will provide an opportunity for attendees to familiarise themselves with the latest development plans and ask any questions they may have. Our latest proposed layout plan for the development is available to view on the 'Bishop Monkton Today' website ahead of the meeting.”
The Parish Council has also expressed its hopes for the meeting. The Council said on its website:- "This will be a good opportunity for residents to hear what Avant have to say and give their views on the proposed development so please attend if you have views. Any large planning application like this is bound to be an emotive subject but could we remind people that any meeting in the village should be conducted with mutual respect? We're sure people want to get their views across but ,equally, opposing views need to be heard as well."
